NSITF (Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund)
The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) was established vide Decree No. 73 of 1993 to succeed the defunct National Provident Fund (NPF), which had been in operation since 1961.
Requirements:
- A scanned copy of official logo/seal
- A scanned copy of signature
- All employees’ record typed in Microsoft Excel
Procedure:
Fill in the following;
- Particulars for the business.
- Total Staff Emolument.
- Business Sector Category.
- Details of Employer and Company’s Contact Person.
- Upload Company Logo.
- Click Complete to Submit the Registration.
A Confirmation email will be sent. This email will include the Transaction code, ECS code, Login password and the information filled in the registration process.
How to make claim:
- The injured or sick employee or his/her dependant as appropriate must report the injury or disease to his/her employer.
- The employer must download from NSITF website appropriate Form ECS.CCF01 for completion on behalf of the injured or sick employee. The dully-completed Form ECS.CCF01 must be submitted to the nearest NSITF Office.
- The employer must file at the nearest NSITF office a “Claim for Compensation” on behalf of the injured or sick or deceased employee by submitting duly completed Form ECS.CCF02.
- The Form ECS.CCF02 must be accompanied with Form ECS.CCF03, which the injured or sick employee must personally complete to confirm accident/injury or disease in fatal cases.
In case of death, the Next-of-kin/s or dependants registered with the employer by the deceased employee while alive, must liaise with the employer to complete the necessary Forms.
